A lot of websites and services present day are not friendly to the sex worker industry, especially money transfer services like PayPal and Cashapp so you can't have your subscribers and followers sending you money for frisky gifts they might want to send you. Amazon wish lists and other public wish lists of the like can give out your address and leave you vulnerable to possible stalkers that may be creeping out on your platform. So if you can't be sent money through mainstream money services for frisky gifts and you don't want subscribers and followers knowing where you leave, what other options do you have left?
WishTender is a universal wish list that is designed for online creators no matter what industry and has become a fan favorite for sex workers for a two sole reasons: it is 100% anonymous for both parties and you get to keep 100% of the payout for whatever gift you list on your page.
But with the two way anonymity comes with concerns and allegations of running scams through this platform, blackmailing and exploiting clients, and even fleecing money from those who are suffering from mental health issues and various addiction issues. But with a 4.7/5 star rating on Trustpilot and amazing reviews from users, are these allegations actually true and should you trust this website with your gift and tip money?
Why Choose WishTender
Anonymity: This one is especially a pro for faceless creators, like myself. You don't have to give out your address in order to receive any gifts or reveal any part of your real identity, listing your gift and giving a acceptable payout method is all you need to use the platform. Even the people giving you gifts also keep their anonymity as well as you do not receive any information about who gives you money for your listed gift. So any shy fans who want to shower you with gifts and show their devotion can without you knowing.
No repeat gifts: When you list a gift on your wish list, you can allow or not allow repeat purchases of said gift, which means you won't get anyone buying you the same gift twice and can ensure the ones you do want over and over again stay on your list.
100% full payout: Most platforms like this keep 5% or even 20% of each transaction you make or receive, but WishTender give you 100% of the money you receive* (*with exceptions when it comes to currency conversion for international fans and creators. Currency conversions occur whenever the wisher or gifter is outside the US. If you are outside of the US, WishTender recommends uplifting your price by 2%-5% to cover any potential conversion fees.)
Customization: You can add anything to this list (but not services) for your fans to buy for you. It can be from any retailer, brand, or website you want. You can even create custom gifts like tips or anything special like tickets to a event or memberships to gyms or other organizations. To top it off, you can add custom photo thank you messages for anyone who buys you a gift to make it extra special for your fan base.
Fraud Protection: WishTender protects wishers 100% against the most common dispute type in our space: a dispute for fraud. You'll not be required to cover any fees associated with fraud-coded arguments! So if a angry fan tries to get his money back a week or two later or even a few days later after the payout has been finalized, WishTender will protect you during the dispute.
When it comes to your gifts however, they do prohibit the following on their site:
Selling your services or goods on your wish list
Gifts that promise a good or service in exchange for the gift
Gifts that have nudity in the item image
Illegal Items
Drugs illegal in your jurisdiction or alcohol
Possible Dangers with WishTender
Now after looking and researching across the world wide web, I didn't find much on these allegations. The allegations that have been made are most likely by programmed bots or maybe actual people, but ones who are against the sex worker industry. Regardless, the allegations bring up some concern with certain parts of the platform.
Anonymity: This is yes a benefit I listed in why you should choose WishTender, but it can also be a danger. Just like there are scams and people catfishing, many public figures could be used to catfish on this platform and make it look like it's "their wish list" when in reality it is a random person behind the screen stealing fan's money. To dodge this danger as a fan, you should only follow the links on a person's verified page, bio, or link program in order to actual interact with the verified person. Don't google their WishTender list or any other wish list as a person could use SEO to their advantage and get their wish list or WishTender front and center instead of the verified person.
Blackmail: Anyone can find anyone these days on the internet, identity, what they like, they don't like, and what kind of pornography they like to consume. Fans who want to get close with the person they follow would tell them anything they wanted to hear if they weren't in the right state of mind, giving the other person they adore all the power they want. From this they can use their tastes in NSFW content as leverage or blackmail to get them to buy them anything or do anything they want. To keep it anonymous and not give themselves a paper or electronic tail to be caught with, they could use WishTender to get the fan to buy them whatever they want or give them how ever much money they want.
Scamming: When it comes to the danger of scams for WishTender, this danger isn't for the fans, it's for us who use the platform. Say that one of your fans or subscribers promise to buy you something off your wish list in exchange for some custom content, you don't say no to that as it's giving you something you want and all you gotta do is a simple custom order. They send you a screenshot of their order confirmation or their purchase receipt and you send them their custom order, but alas after a couple hours you don't see any gift money come in on WishTender. They said that they sent you money, but taking a closer look at the screenshot and you notice some grammar mistakes, incorrect gift listing you wanted, or hell you see some photoshopping mistakes, either way you've been scammed! At this point you can't take the custom back as they've already save it to their device and you can't report it to WishTender as no actual money was sent through their system so they cannot do anything about to help.
Conclusion
WishTender itself is a great platform for everyone to use either business, personal, or if you are a public figure online no matter what industry. Like every other platform online, there will be dangers and scams happening on it and we just have to do our due diligence of researching, going through the right channels, and honestly just using our common sense. If something looks and sounds like it's too good to be true, it probably is.
WishTender is not a scam and if you want a public universal wish list that can keep you safe behind the screen from stalkers and creeps while giving you 100% of the money you're given, use WishTender and you'll see why everyone from every industry is using in online instead of Amazon or other wish list platforms.
